OFF TO BERLIN

Around 09.30 we left the beautiful land in Staverden waved goodbye by our friends and family. After driven two actual kilometers, there was some concern about the absence of our 'Go Pro Camera'.

Two kilometer further we pulled over to look through the entire car in the hope to find the camera, without any results unfortunately. Camera nowhere to be found.
This was quite annoying, because this camera was purchased for this rally so we decided to go back to Jan Jaap's home in the hope to find the camera there. Unfortunately there was no camera to be found either. We did get some confused looks from our neighbors who didn't expect to see us back so soon. 

The only place the camera could possibly be found was at Willem Jan's home. But there it was no where to be found, until Willem Jan's son asked if we had looked under the front chairs?

There is was, the long lost 'Go Pro Camera'. 255 kilometers further, in company of the go pro camera, the rally could really begin. 

In the afternoon around half past one we drove past Apeldoorn, near the kick off of the rally, and we had driven 391 kilometers already.

The kilometers to and in Germany went very fast and easy, especially in the dark. 

In the dark and fog we arrived in Berlin looking for the hotel that we were staying in, where we arrived just 30 minutes before we had to attend diner with all the contestants. 

The messages about our remarkable route had already been noticed by the rest of the teams.

A distressed daughter has seen a BMW Z3 driving in the wrong direction, when she headed home. 

Rumor has it that some in our travel group have made a bet on us, that we won't make it to Moscow. So this detour might have been a confirmation, who knows?

We tend to make things very exciting!
