Dear readers!
The grey clouds with drizzle are still hanging above us. After a champion breakfast we left Olysztyn and arrived in a beautiful and sloping landscape with multiple lakes and rural roads.
Ones we passed the border of Lithuania the monotonous roads area and horrendous buildings appeared again.
This was graced by the only cultural spot, The Hill of Crosses. We looked around for a bit and took some foto's. The place is a kind of pilgrimage in order to emphasize the freedom of the Lithuanians. There are 100.000 crosses planted on this hill and the Pope visited this hill in 1993.
When had seen everything there was to see at The Hill of Crosses, we raced all the way to Riga, where we arrived in the dark. We joined our dinner quikely in order to go to bed as we could. Monotonous but satisfied. Unfortunately there was no time scheduled to do some touristic things in Riga.
